Aloo Gobhi Aur Mater
Cooking time: 35 min. Serving : 3-4 persons
Oil 4 tbsp.
Onions 2 (medium, finely chopped)
Potatoes 450 gm.(diced into 2cm Pieces)
Cauliflower 1 (small cut into 2cm pieces)
Ground turmeric 1/2 tsp.
Chilli powder 1/3 tsp.
Ground cummin 1 tsp.
Tomatoes 2 chopped
Salt 1 tsp.
Sugar 1/4 tsp.
Peas 200 gm.
Garam Masala 1/2 tsp.
Heat the oil in a karahi(wok) over medium high heat
Add the onions and fry for 3-4 minutes until light brown
Add the potatoes and cauliflower and stir. Add the turmeric, chilli,
cummin, tomatoes, salt and sugar. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes.
Add the peas, cover and reduce heat to a medium low and cook for about
20 minutes until the potatoes and cauliflower are tender. During the
cooking period stir the vegetables a few times to stop them sticking.
Sprinkle with garam masala.
